About the PEI Boating Festival
More than just keelboat races, the PEI Boating Festival is a celebration built around a shared love of boating, great parties, and time well spent with new and old friends.
Held every two years on even-numbered years, the Around the Island Race provides offshore sailors with a premier alternative when the world-famous Marblehead Race is not taking place.
In odd-numbered years, Race the Strait takes centre stage, featuring challenging races like the overnight Shediac to Charlottetown Race and courses between Summerside and Charlottetown. In the years ahead, we look forward to collaborating with yacht clubs throughout the Northumberland Strait to create lasting traditions for future sailors.

Is held every second year on even years in order to provide a great option in the years when the world-famous Marblehead Race is not happening.
